I.Y.T. … blar!

I identify with Pig, one-hundred-and-ten percent:
I.Y.T.

On the upside, I am nearly finished for the quarter. Praise our good Lord that I finally feel calm even though I have about four papers due and three exams within the next 2.5 weeks!

Sunny with a high of 95!

Happy spring!

Welcome back from the dead, eh? It’s been hectic… but I am still alive! Much has been going on, and I even have a new recipe to post! So if you are patient with my rambling, you’ll be able to see a grand recipe for come delicious chocolate chip cookies like none other.

OK. Let me give you a quick rundown of the current happenings:

- I went to my grandfather’s memorial and funeral last month and I was blown away. It was a military service, and there was not a dry eye left in our family. I am happy to know that Grandpa is home and happy.

- Directly after my return from San Diego (which was just beautiful and wonderful), I came down with a nasty stomach bug which left me very drained for quite some time.

- School, of course, is almost done which means it’s time for all of those terrible projects to be due. Just too many group activities for me. Oh well. I’ll be done for the quarter on 8 June.

- I don’t have to fret about a job for the summer, though! I am going to be working at a hospital in Seattle this summer which will help me get my foot in the doors of some of my possible grad schools.

- I have a list of about 15 schools I am looking through… We’ll see what comes my way.

- I also have a place to live next fall. A huge sigh of relief.

- I am making plans to go to France this February to stay with Shazz when she is teaching English abroad.

- And finally, I think I will get a new computer. Yes, the brand new Intel MacBook.

real life

I find it really hard to believe that I am graduating in a few weeks. It seems so foreign to me to be without:

- copious amounts of textbooks
- homework that leaves me with no free time
- stress
- and more stress

I’m thinking really hard about what it will be like to work every day in the fall, winter, and spring, and to have nothing with which to fill up my evenings. I really can’t picture it.

(This is a cool picture of Robb + Jessie in high school. So long ago!)

please leave a message for robb stankey…

for he is much too busy to write a post, thus his girlfriend has decided to fix this problem. Here is a rundown of things in Robb’s life.

A) He is highly stressed and has shaved his head. (Actually that was for his presentation at Biola last weekend)

madness!

2) Apple has made his (and my) day.

III) He found a place to live for the coming year after he graduates! Which of course doesn’t exactly have this view, but close enough.

D) He is going to graduate 10 June 2006 (and is very excited).

5) He is also looking forward to backpacking at Mt. Rainier this summer.

Enjoying the sleeping bag.

VI) He is also excited to see me this summer, too.

Summer plans?

Well, that’s all from me for now. Sorry. Robb needs to have more free time to write creative things because well… I just don’t have his skills. Please tell him to press on!

- Jessie O.
