What is your favourite song from the 1990s?
I might be cheating when I say this because it was written in 1977. But if we go by release dates, I simply adored Free as a Bird when it was released in 1995. Yes, it’s a Beatles song. I am a Beatles fan, true and true. The Beatles are timeless. I fell in love with them when I was just a baby and my dad would rock me to sleep to the sound of Ringo singing Goodnight. (Fun fact, my dad and I danced to the same song at my wedding this year!)
Anyway, back to my favourite song from the 90s… I remember singing it on the playground at Parkview Elementary School… and watching the music video as an accompaniment to The Beatles Anthology. If you don’t recall this song, listen and enjoy!
Bono:
“It is extraordinary to me that you can find $700 billion to save Wall Street and the entire G8 can’t find $25 billion to save 25,000 children who die every day of preventable treatable disease and hunger.”
Seriously.
But I think this week will be a good one.
I am optimistic.
And, Grey’s Anatomy is back on (we are going to watch it with Eric and Ruthie!).
And, Damien Jurado is playing at the U.W. Terrace.
And, today is the first day of Autumn (my favourite season).
And, October is just about a week away (my favourite month!).
And, we are having community group (studying Romans) and ladies’ bible study (studying Colossians).
And, we might have a lady’s night at Sucre. Yum.
And, I begin my training for my first half-marathon.
Kim sent around photos today from our sailing trip earlier in the summer. I wanted to share a favourite with you. The weather is slowly turning from hot summer days into cooler ones. (We actually had almost 2 weeks of Seattle weather!) The Autumn Equinox is Monday, 22 September. Brace yourself.
