It looks like the Paradox, the highly influential all-ages concert venue in Seattle, is soon to be no more. Mars Hill Church, which has subsidized the venue’s operations from its start during the Teen Dance Ordinance years to today has decided to pull the plug on its operations for the near future.
The concerts that have been booked over the next six months will continue as planned but no new shows will likely be booked at the Paradox in the short term.
In return for her dedication to the all-ages scene, Mars Hill Church is graciously donating all the proceeds from the next six months of shows to Alicia Blake, the long-time volunteer lead for the Paradox. Blake intends to start a new production company called Make Believe that will continue to provide all-ages shows in Seattle.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
- Paul
