The Chronicles of Narnia make me remember the feeling of a full stomach, a peaceful quiet, a tablecloth, my mum’s voice. She would read the whole family a chapter from whichever book we were on every night after dinner for the longest time when I was growing up.

Sorry, that deleted comment was me. I forgot a crucial word and didn’t know how to go back and edit. How embarrassing!

Oh! I very much love the idea of having a parent read The Chronicles after dinner. Mmm. Thank you for such a lovely thought!
