Oh, the cow in the meadow goes “moo”!

Farmers market

One of the benefits to living the capitol of America’s Dairyland is the yearly farmers market event called Cows on the Concourse. Last year our friends Sean and Brian were here the weekend the cows took over the Capitol Square. (And if you remember, Sean asked how you tell the gender of a cow. Poor Sean.)

Moo

Besides getting to pet the cows (and calves) the best thing about the event are the grilled cheese sandwiches. Did you know, over 90% of Wisconsin milk goes directly to cheese? Not to mention, Wisconsin cheeses have been winning awards for years. (I say this to persuade you to avoid the “product” that California considers cheese). Now, let me tempt you with another photograph. If you come visit us in June, you too can have a tasty Wisconsin cheese sandwich hot off the grill while watching the cows who probably contributed their milk to the process.

Toasted Goodness

Hope to see you soon!

Eew. Cheese is gross. Icky. And yes, I know what real cheese is like because I live in Scotland. Still icky.

We get back the end of January, probably. If you’re anything like us, your garlic will be gone by then!

I love the photo collage. It seems like Madison is quite the community. Thanks for sharing your life!
