Obama Gore 2008

Obama Gore 2008

If Barack Obama becomes the Democratic candidate for President this summer, who will he choose for his running mate? Perhaps one of the smartest choices for him would be Al Gore, and here’s why:

  1. Al Gore is more popular than ever before. Since leaving politics, he has won an Oscar, the Nobel Prize, and is thought highly of by nearly everyone age 21-35.
  2. Al Gore is an experienced politician as a member of Congress and former Vice President. Regardless of how people feel he did as a politician, he would lend credible experience to the Democratic ticket, silencing a major critique of Obama’s campaign.
  3. Al Gore is on the board of directors for Apple Inc. Apple is a hot company nowadays where everybody and their mother owns an iMac and a Macbook and five iPods. Apple is hot. Al Gore is hot. Obama is hot. That makes triple hot for Obama Gore in 2008, and young people (for better or for worse) will be more interested in politics than ever.

I am the “nearly”.

But I do agree with Apple as being “a hot company”… like fire!

But I would rather have hot chocolate. Or a hot cup of tea.

Hmmm, while I believe this would be a strong political move for Mr. Obama, I’m going to have to go ahead and disagree with the phrase “Al Gore is hot”. In fact, I think I might grow quickly confused if I hear it frequently from people I know.
